How to Get There

Coming From Lisbon:

Highway A-1 direction Porto. 9 kms. after the Area of Service of Santarém, turning to the Right. for A23 direction Abrantes until Covilhã, passing Castelo Branco. About 290 kms. 

Coming From Porto/Aveiro:

 Highway A-1 for the South, in Albergaria a Velha you take IP 5 until Guarda . After that you take Highway A23 until  Covilhã. About 210 Kms. 

Coming From  Algarve:

Take Via do Infante, A22, followed by A-2 for Lisbon,  follow Ponte Vasco of Gama and A-1 direction  Porto. To see indication above (Of Lisbon). In alternative you can use the highway IP-2 for the interior, leaving in Ourique of highway A2 for Beja where you catch  IP-2 to Covilhã, passing by Évora, Portalegre, Castelo Branco About 500 Kms. 

Coming From Coimbra: 

Alternative 1: Enter  the IC2 in direction to the North. Turn to the right in the direction of the IP3.  
Before Santa Comba Dão, turn to the right in direction to Nelas. 
In this place, turn to the right for  IP5 to Guarda
When you arrive to Guarda, proceed in the direction of Covilhã, for A23

Alternative 2: Enter in the IC2 in direction to the North. Turn to the right in the direction of the IP3.  
Before Santa Comba Dão, turn to the right in direction to Nelas. 
In Nelas  proceed for Seia, Sabugueiro, Torre.

In Covilhã,  follow the direction to Serra da Estrela. Varanda dos Carqueijais to 5 Kms. and 800 altitude meters and Hotel Serra da Estrela and Chalets of Mountain to 10 Kms. and 1550 meters of Altitude, Ranch of Ski to 2000 meters of Altitude.
